I’m FREEZING! We’ve got below zero wind chills here in NJ and my blood still thinks I should be in California!
If you’ve been with me for awhile you know that summer is my favorite season, so by this time in winter I’m pretty desperate for some warm weather. I will get my wish soon as I prepare this week for my next leg of Advanced Clinical Training in warm sunny Florida. I’ve been hitting the books hard and look forward for a little break from the cold.
A little note on my personal way of eating, and you’ll probably hear me repeat this often…I mentioned last week that I’ve been juicing about three times per week in the mornings before breakfast. Getting some raw greens in me and my family is just what we feel like we need here in the dead of winter. I just throw whatever greens I have in the juicer and have at it. After the green juice, I usually have some bone broth with some added coconut oil. Having good fats in the morning (for me morning is anytime between 9AM and 11:30AM) keeps the brain happy and your body sustained until your next meal.
Add good fats and vegetables to meals whenever possible.
